I am deeply passionate about helping folks discover more joy, more energy, and more vitality in their lives so they can live in alignment with what is most important to them. I believe that this alignment enables each of us to share our unique gifts with the world. And when we authentically honor our strengths and gifts, that is where we find joy and energy and a renewed sense of vitality.

Professional Bio

I’m a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and I’ve been working in the health and wellness industry for more than 15 years.  I’ve also been on a journey to elevate my own health and well-being for even longer!

A lifelong interest in fitness, nutrition, and wellness, along with unique personal and professional experiences have been integral in my life and career choices. My education aligns with this:

  • B.S. from Colorado State University in Health and Exercise Science, with a concentration in Health Promotion
  • Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine
  • National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC)  through the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching
    • My training as a coach has occurred through both accredited programs (Wellcoaches and Real Balance Global Wellness) and practical coaching experience.
    • 10+ years coaching one on one
    • 16+ years helping others improve their health and well-being

Coaching Is My Calling

Coaching isn’t just my profession – it’s my calling. It all began during my undergrad when I had the privilege of completing an internship in Lifestyle Medicine at a medical residency program for primary care physicians. It was there that I witnessed the transformative power that one-on-one coaching can have in helping people make lasting and meaningful changes in their lives.

Since then, I’ve immersed myself in evidence-based approaches and models that support behavior change, including motivational interviewing, appreciative inquiry, and positive psychology. But for me, coaching is about so much more than just these approaches. It’s about guiding others to discover their own potential, write their own narratives, and find ways to succeed with their goals – no matter what their perceived limitations or obstacles may be.

My clients often tell me that my gift is seeing in them what they do not – recognizing their hidden qualities and abilities and helping them embrace the possibilities. The “Aha” moments when profound realizations meet transformational perspectives are the fuel for my soul.

I help people mobilize effective tools at the right time so they can improve their health and well-being in ways that allow them to experience the fullest version of their vitality. It’s a distinct privilege to be alongside folks as they build and cross their own extraordinary bridges, witnessing the greatest versions of themselves unfold in a symphony of discovery that connects mind, body, and spirit to the innate greatness within every one of us.

Re-Defining Wellness

Welcome to true wellness, where we redefine what it means to be healthy and happy!

My journey to this work wasn’t by accident – it was born out of my own struggles with unhealthy behaviors and poor body image. I spent years feeling like I needed to manipulate and control food and exercise to “fix” my body, until I was able to authentically experience true wellness – which, as it turns out, is about nurturing and respecting our bodies, not punishing them.

That’s why I don’t subscribe to any trademarked diets or fitness plans – I believe that wellness is a deeply personal journey that requires an individualized approach. As a coach, I work with my clients to develop a step-by-step plan that helps them reclaim their vitality using simple, but effective actions that can be built into habits.

It’s not just about physical health – it’s about loving yourself, your life, and how you interact with others. It’s about having the energy and confidence to pursue your dreams and make a difference in the world.
